Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 17, 2026

By adding, using, or interacting with Anti-Scam Trap Bot ("the Bot"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

1. Description

Anti-Scam Trap Bot is a Discord bot designed to help server administrators detect and prevent scam activity by monitoring configured trap channels and automatically applying administrator-selected punishments.

2. Server Administrator Responsibility

Server administrators are responsible for configuring and using the Bot appropriately. You must have sufficient permissions, select appropriate channels and punishments, and comply with applicable rules and laws.

3. Automatic Moderation

The Bot may delete triggering messages, temporarily timeout users, permanently ban users, record moderation information, and remove other messages from an affected user within the configured period. The Bot does not guarantee that every scam or malicious message will be detected.

4. Availability

The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect detection, compatibility with future Discord changes, or freedom from bugs or interruptions.

5. Permissions

The Bot requires appropriate Discord permissions. If permissions are missing, features may not work correctly. Server administrators are responsible for granting permissions they consider appropriate.

6. Abuse and Misuse

You agree not to intentionally use the Bot to harass or target individuals, circumvent Discord restrictions, abuse automated moderation, deliberately cause excessive moderation actions, use the Bot unlawfully, or interfere with its operation.

7. Discord

The Bot operates through Discord and is subject to Discord's policies and terms. We are not responsible for Discord's services, availability, policies, or actions taken by Discord.

8. Data and Logs

The Bot may process information necessary for moderation, including Discord user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, message information, and moderation-related information. Server administrators are responsible for configuring the Bot in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and their server policies.

9. No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for every purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and contributors shall not be liable for damages, losses, bans, timeouts, deleted messages, lost data, server disruptions, or other consequences resulting from use or inability to use the Bot.

11. Termination

We may discontinue, restrict, or modify the Bot at any time. Server administrators may remove the Bot from their server at any time.

12. Open Source License

Anti-Scam Trap Bot is released under the MIT License. The MIT License governs use, copying, modification, distribution, and sublicensing of the source code. These Terms govern use of the hosted Discord Bot service. Nothing in these Terms removes rights granted by the MIT License.

13. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Contact

For questions, bug reports, or other concerns, contact the developer through the project's official repository or available support channels.
